Next power show by the Bruins?

After the long break between games, the Boston Bruins have made an impressive return to the daily grind this calendar year and have overcome their form crisis for the time being with their latest winning streak. In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday (CET), Boston Bruins vs. New Jersey Devils will now be aiming for their third win in a row. The match against the twelfth-placed team in the Eastern Conference comes at a good time for the Bruins.

The Boston Bruins have won three of their last four games against the New Jersey Devils. It is quite possible that an NHL bet on the black and gold team from Boston will pay off this time as well.

Boston Bruins – Statistics & current form

The Boston Bruins were shorthanded last year and lost two games, followed by a two-week break due to the NHL. In the meantime, the Bruins’ personnel worries have become manageable again, which makes the recent trend of success all the more pleasing. The year 2022 started with a home win against the Sabres (4:3) and an away coup at the Red Wings from Detroit (5:1).

In the week, Boston is now aiming for its third straight win for the first time since November 2021. The home game against New Jersey comes in handy for head coach Bruce Cassidy’s team. After all, they have already won eight times at home in 14 attempts and thus have a win rate of almost 57%.

Brad Marchand has played a major role in this success. The Canadian has already scored 30 points this season and leads the Bruins’ internal scoring list. Marchand flew largely under the radar in the resounding victory in Detroit and only recorded one assist. Due in part to the long penalty in the second period.

New Jersey Devils – Statistics & current form

Just like the Boston Bruins, New Jersey also got off to a successful start in 2022. The Devils prevailed in Washington last weekend, celebrating their third win in a row. Before that, head coach Lindy Ruff’s team had already won against clubs like Edmonton and Buffalo.

The performance of team captain Nico Hischier was particularly praiseworthy last weekend. After all, the Swiss player put in a great performance in the away game in Washington and even scored two goals for the Devils. In total, the Swiss has six goals and 14 assists to his name this season.

For the first time since October 2021, New Jersey has won two away games in a row. Prior to that, the NJ Devils were in an away slump, losing six in a row. Nevertheless, Ruff’s team is one of the weakest teams in the Metropolitan Division away from home. New Jersey have won only five of their 15 away games.

Boston Bruins – New Jersey Devils Tip

The Boston Bruins have tasted blood after the away coup in Detroit and are now aiming for the next points against the NJ Devils. The last time the two clubs met almost two months ago, the Bruins won outright. Despite the home-ice advantage, New Jersey suffered a tough defeat against the NHL franchise from Boston, which saw the Devils score five times in total.

This time around, especially after the landslide win against the Red Wings, we’re not ruling out a big win for the Bruins either. Especially since Boston won three of the last four NHL games against New Jersey anyway. For the first time since October 2019, the Bruins are now looking to win a home game against their upcoming opponent. With a bet of six units, we place our bet on the home side at odds of 1.69 on Boston Bruins vs. New Jersey Devils.
