Do the Ravens have Cleveland under control again?
Bulwark 1 vs Bulwark 2 could also be our Ravens vs Browns betting tip. The two teams that allow by far the fewest yards per play will meet here on Sunday. Baltimore stands at 262.6, Cleveland at just 234.8.
Does that mean we will hardly see any points? No, because both teams also have good offenses, Baltimore even the sixth best with 26.6 points per game. So we expect that the winner will have to put up over 20 points
Who will that be? There is a lot to be said in favor of Baltimore in this matchup, as they also won the first leg six weeks ago by a clear 28:3. Since then, Deshaun Watson has returned for the Browns, but he won’t be able to make up the deficit completely.
So our prediction for Baltimore vs. Cleveland is a fifth success in a row for the Ravens, although it won’t be as clear-cut as the game a few weeks ago. It could even be a real nailbiter
Kick-off of this tough AFC North duel is on Sunday evening at 19:00 in Baltimore. The game can be watched live on RTL and on ENDZN on DAZN.
Baltimore Ravens – Statistics & current form
Secret favorite Ravens? They’re not that secret anymore after four wins in a row. Many experts were wondering how Lamar Jackson would come back from his injury. The answer: very strong.
With a QB rating of 100.8, he’s one of only seven quarterbacks to surpass that mark and he’s less than six points behind the leader, Tua Tagovailoa. We would even rank him ahead of Tua, as he has put up his stats in individual games.
Jackson, on the other hand, is consistently strong and averages 369.0 yards and 16.6 points per game with his offense. And that despite playing in a division with two of the best defenses in the NFL (Steelers, Browns).
Baltimore with best current form
In our eyes, there is currently no team in better form than Baltimore. The Eagles may have the best record, but they are shaking from win to win. The Chiefs also falter in most of their games.
The Ravens, on the other hand, are convincing across the board. The 37-3 win against Seattle was just the icing on the cake. In this game, they achieved a whopping 515:151 yards, 29:6 first downs and had the ball in their own ranks for a whopping 40:04 – a season record.
Ravens top in front and behind
It was the second demonstration of power against a potential playoff team after the 38:6 against the Lions. Although the Browns are also coming off a convincing 27-0 win, it was “only” against the Arizona Cardinals with their third-string quarterback.
In this respect, the odds on Baltimore are much better for Ravens vs. Browns. However, since the oddsmakers see them more clearly ahead from day to day (currently -6), alternatives such as combination bets or tips on over 21 Ravens points are good options.
Key Players:
- QB: Lamar Jackson
- RB: Gus Edwards
- WR: Zay Flowers
- TE: Mark Andrews
- K: Justin Tucker
Cleveland Browns – stats & current form
27:0 against the Cardinals – that was also a statement by the Browns and the perfect answer to their stupid loss against the Seahawks. But the value of this success will only become clear on Sunday when they face the strongest team in the league at the moment.
Do the Browns have a chance there? Sure, because their defense can always decide games for them. However, it will be a Herculean task, because the Ravens also have a defense that hardly allows anything on good days
More points than expected?
The over/under of 37.5 in this game is therefore also set very low, which is of course due to the top defenses. However, the Browns do score significantly more points in games – see the 39:38 against the Colts.
Their offense can score points when it has to and should also score over 17 points against the Ravens. Whether that will be enough, however, is another matter. Baltimore have scored 38, 31 and 37 points in their last three games.
This means that a total score of over 40 points is actually possible here, which makes it possible to bet on over points for Baltimore vs Cleveland. However, this is not our betting favorite due to the good defenses
What’s Watson like?
Another question will be what shape Deshaun Watson is in on Sunday. Against the Cardinals, he played very solid with 219 passing yards and two touchdowns. Against Baltimore, however, he will be under pressure much more often.
The Ravens defense has already recorded 39 sacks this season, which is a league-best. If the Browns’ O-line can hold up, then Baltimore is also in with a chance. However, it is more likely that this will be the point that ultimately decides the game in favor of the Ravens.
Key Players:
- QB: Deshaun Watson
- RB: Kareem Hunt
- WR: Amari Cooper
- TE: David Njoku
- K: Dustin Hopkins
Baltimore Ravens – Cleveland Browns head-to-head comparison / H2H record
We have already briefly discussed the 28:3 in favor of the Ravens six weeks ago. Before that, both teams regularly took turns winning. So it would actually be Cleveland’s turn again on Sunday – a logic we don’t agree with, however.
After all, the game at the beginning of October was too clearly in Baltimore’s favor. Even though Cleveland was missing Deshaun Watson at the time, that was probably not the only reason. The running game and the special teams were also clearly better on the Ravens’ side back then.
So the odds on the Ravens in Baltimore vs. Cleveland are very playable, preferably with a combination of over 33.5. Both teams should easily get this number on the scoreboard despite their good defenses
Baltimore Ravens – Cleveland Browns Tip
Of course, the Browns will be looking for revenge for the 3:28 of a few weeks ago, but such a wish is not always successful. The Ravens in particular are currently very difficult to beat – and with a little more match luck they would even be 9-0 winners.
They have also made strong gains offensively of late, averaging 35.3 points over their last three games. Thus, a bet on Baltimore + Over 33.5 total points for Ravens vs. Browns is a bet that combines two high probabilities
Alternatively, a bet on a rushing touchdown by Gus Edwards is also an option in this matchup. He has scored six rushing touchdowns in the last three games, more than any other player in that time span.
