Thanks to CCTV footage, the perpetrator who endangered the Cremonese goalkeeper and forced the referee to stop the match for about three minutes has been identified
Today saw the “deferred arrest” of the person responsible for throwing the firecracker that endangered goalkeeper Emil Audero during Cremonese-Inter last Sunday. The perpetrator is a 19-year-old “supporter” who is believed to be part of the Inter ultras. The operation, conducted by the Cremona Police Department, was completed “within 48 hours of the incident,” as required by anti-violence in sports legislation. The cross-analysis of the stadium’s CCTV footage with that carried out by the Scientific Police was decisive, allowing the culprit who threw the firecracker that hit Audero at the start of the second half of the match between the Grigiorossi and the Nerazzurri to be identified with absolute certainty. The culprit was not the man who was hospitalized after a firecracker exploded in his hand, but a fan who belongs to the newly formed “No Name” group. The Cremona Digos (Special Operations Group) is continuing its investigation with the aim of identifying those responsible for other firecrackers and smoke bombs thrown shortly before the start of the match.
