Is Levis convincing in his second start?
Will Levis continue to make a splash? That’s one of the top questions for our Steelers vs Titans betting tip for the NFL’s Thursday Night Game. The Titans’ rookie quarterback certainly wants to, but will he be able to?
Against this tough Steelers defense, it’s doubtful, as they’ve taught other quarterbacks like Lamar Jackson or Matthew Stafford the meaning of fear. In this respect, we expect another minor setback for the rookie
This would also allow the Steelers to distance themselves from a direct competitor for one of the Wild Card spots in the AFC. The Steelers are currently 4-3, while the Titans are 3-4. If Tennessee were to win, they would even overtake Pittsburgh.
However, that shouldn’t happen and so our prediction for Steelers vs. Titans is a home win for the Steelers, who will keep a winning record. Exactly what head coach Mike Tomlin is famous for in his career
Kickoff of this close AFC duel is Friday night at 01:15 in Pittsburgh. The game can be watched live on DAZN.
Pittsburgh Steelers – stats & current form
What the Steelers did couldn’t go on forever. Although their defense delivered again against the Jaguars, generating three turnovers, the offense was unable to capitalize this time.
In the end, the Jaguars were simply too ripped off and too strong for them. But how do things look now against the Tennessee Titans? They will line up with rookie quarterback Will Levis, which should be quite exciting
Defense will chase Levis
Even Trevor Lawrence had the Steelers defense on the verge of despair on Sunday, but the former No. 1 pick was able to catch himself again. Will Levis, however, might not be as solid yet – a great opportunity for Pittsburgh.
Because if they manage to put him under pressure like the last quarterbacks, the rookie will most likely not have the composure to get out of it so well. We do expect one or two mistakes here
Offense must deliver
Once again, it’s up to the offense to take better advantage of the opportunities it finds than it did against Jacksonville on Sunday. However, George Pickens and Diontae Johnson showed at times that this is possible.
Since the Titans defense has also created the fewest takeaways of all teams so far (only 6), we see good opportunities for the Steelers offense to score enough points. Thus, for Pittsburgh vs. Tennessee, a bet on the Steelers is our clearly preferred betting option here.
Key Players:
- QB: Kenny Pickett
- RB: Najee Harris
- WR: George Pickens
- TE: Pat Freiermuth
- K: Chris Boswell
Tennessee Titans – stats & current form
This was Will Levis’ first exclamation mark in a Tennessee Titans jersey. He got his first start against the Atlanta Falcons, completing 19 of his 29 passes and throwing four touchdowns without a single interception.
However, we have seen it more often in the NFL that a young quarterback comes in and then performs surprisingly well because he hasn’t thought much about it. But now the thinking starts and the second game often doesn’t go so smoothly
How stable is Levis already?
The Pittsburgh defense is considered one of the toughest in the league. They are already at 3.1 sacks per game again this season and will be especially hot on rookie quarterbacks. So how will Levis manage to stay calm and make the right decisions here?
In DeAndre Hopkins, of course, he has an experienced receiver who can make his life a little easier. However, the Steelers will also be keeping a close eye on him after the experience of the Titans vs. Falcons game.
And then things will get tight in the Titans offense. No other receiver had more than 33 yards last Sunday, which shows that they are somewhat limited here.
Titans defense not at top level
At 339.4, their defense is allowing the eleventh most yards per game, even though they haven’t played any of the top teams like the Dolphins, Chiefs, 49ers or Eagles. So we can take this statistic at face value.
Even the Steelers will be able to put up some points against them – we expect over 20. We think it’s doubtful that Will Levis will score more points against this defense, which is why the odds on Pittsburgh -3 are good for Steelers vs. Titans.
Key Players:
- QB: Will Levis
- RB: Derrick Henry
- WR: DeAndre Hopkins
- TE: Chigoziem Okonkwo

Pittsburgh Steelers – Tennessee Titans head-to-head / H2H record
The Titans traditionally suit the Steelers very well. The last four head-to-head meetings have all gone to Pittsburgh and Tennessee last won at Heinz Field in 2013. The Steelers also had a three-point lead in each of these victories.
Despite Tennessee’s recent victory, current form does not speak in favor of the Titans. They are playing with an inexperienced rookie quarterback and have lost three of their last five games. The Steelers, on the other hand, have won four of their last six games.
That’s why the odds on Pittsburgh -3 are our No. 1 betting alternative for Steelers vs. Titans, although we wouldn’t put too much more handicap on it. We rather expect a low scoring game, where the winning margin is often kept a bit tighter
Pittsburgh Steelers – Tennessee Titans Tip
With Will Levis at quarterback, the Titans are naturally a little more unpredictable than with Ryan Tannehill. Levis threw a lot of deep balls against Atlanta (7), which is incredibly risky. If the Steelers are even a little careful here, they will surely get 2-3 turnovers.
Accordingly, the chances are good that they have it in their own hands again. For Steelers vs. Titans, a bet on Pittsburgh -3 is a good play, as is a bet on them in combination with under 40 total points.
We also have a player bet alternative: a bet on a George Pickens TD. He will be looking to bounce back after a botched game against the Jaguars and has a good chance of doing so against the Titans’ weak secondary.
