Battle in the West between Phoenix and Utah!

Three duels are scheduled for tonight and another five games next night in the NBA. The majority of the night’s matchups feature teams from the West, but Charlotte and Detroit are two teams from the Eastern Conference going head-to-head as well.

The top match in the West between the league leaders from Phoenix and fourth-placed Utah is particularly appealing from a sporting point of view. A match that already gives a foretaste of the playoffs.

New York Knicks vs. Philadelphia 76ers – 27 February, 7:00 pm

The hosts won only two of the last 17 duels against the Sixers! However, the two victories came in the past two meetings. Currently, however, there are no signs of another triumph for Head Coach Tom Thibodeau’s troops next night.

New York’s personnel situation remains tense, as important players such as Derrick Rose and Nerlens Noel have to miss out due to injury. At least RJ Barrett is back on board and in his comeback in the last game the Canadian scored 46 points, although even this great result could not change the fourth defeat in a row for the Knicks.

The visitors, on the other hand, recently recorded a win in Minnesota. Newcomer James Harden made his debut at Target Center and immediately delivered 27 points and a dozen assists.

For the clash between the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers, bets on more than 21.5 points by Harden are interesting. The game can be watched live on DAZN.

Phoenix Suns vs. Utah Jazz – 27 February, 21:30 hrs

The Suns received some bad news recently. So in the coming weeks the “Point God” has to miss due to injury. Chris Paul has injured his throwing hand and the task for Devin Booker has thus become even more difficult. “Book” now has to be more of a playmaker.

This endeavour worked out very well in the last game at Oklahoma with a dozen set-ups for successful throws by his teammates.

For the clash between the Phoenix Suns and Utah Jazz on 27.02.2022 from 21:30, predictions of more than 6.5 assists by Booker are worth considering. The Valley’s top game will also be streamed live on DAZN.

Indiana Pacers vs. Boston Celtics – Feb. 27, 11 p.m.

The Pacers recently traded their top centre Domantis Sabonis for several players from the Kings like Buddy Hield and Tyrese Haliburton. The latter sophomore, in particular, also made an immediate impact in Indy. This can be seen in the three double-doubles in points and assists in five appearances for the hosts so far.

Boston, however, is a very strong opponent who has lost only two of its last 15 league games. For the game between the Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics, betting tips on an away win with at least an eight-point lead seem promising.

Charlotte Hornets vs. Detroit Pistons – 28 February, 01:00 hrs

The Hornets are especially looking forward to the Pistons from a statistical point of view: they haven’t lost to the men from Motown for 16 duels already! The last time Detroit won in this pairing was in October 2017, a time when Kemba Walker was still chasing baskets for Charlotte or Reggie Jackson for Detroit.

Currently, the signs are good that the series will now continue. The visitors arrive in the second-to-last place in the East and in the away rankings of the Eastern Conference they are even only in last place with a mini win rate of 16.7 percent. However, Cade Cunningham is in good form for head coach Dwane Casey’s squad.

The first pick of the last draft scored at least 20 points in two of the past three games. However, this does little to change the favourites position of the hosts, which is why tips on a home victory with at least a ten-point difference are promising for the duel between the Charlotte Hornets and Detroit Pistons.

Houston Rockets vs. Los Angeles Clippers – 28 February, 01:00 am

The Clippers are not a favourite opponent of the Rockets: Only one of the last five duels could the Texans decide in their favour. In addition, they now enter the West as the last team in the standings.

In view of the already advanced season, the question naturally arises whether the home side has already started “tanking” in order to secure a particularly advantageous position for the upcoming draft.

The visitors, for their part, are still fighting for a place in the Play-In Tournament, but still have to do without their two top players Paul George and Kawhi Leonard.

Nevertheless, in the clash between the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers, betting on an away win by a margin of at least seven points is a good idea. As described, the game has long been over for the home side, which is why the motivation of the visitors should be significantly higher.

Golden State Warriors vs. Dallas Mavericks – 28 February, 01:30 hrs

The Warriors halted a streak of three losses on this pairing with a win over Dallas just over a month ago. The victory, by a 42-point margin, was also very clear and a testament to the collective high quality of head coach Steve Kerr’s squad.

Although the recently crowned MVP at the All-Star Game, superstar Stephen Curry, remained rather pale with 18 points, the clear triumph over the Texans was achieved.

The reason was rather that no less than seven players scored at least double-digit points for Golden State and Damion Lee only just missed this yield with nine points. However, there is no sign of another blowout for the guests.

Head coach Jason Kidd’s team has only lost two of its last eight league games. Moreover, Luka Doncic is in very good shape. The point guard ranks among the top ten in the NBA in both scoring and assists and has delivered at least 45 points in three of the past five games!

The departure of Kristaps Porzingis, with whom the Slovenian had a rather cool relationship according to media reports, now seems to inspire him on the court once again.

For the game between the Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks on 28.02.2022, bets on an away win or a defeat for the visitors with a maximum difference of four points are recommended.

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Denver Nuggets – 28 Feb, 03:00

The Trail Blazers have been a positive surprise lately. Despite missing “Logo-Lillard” due to injury and trading their second leading scorer, CJ McCollum, to the New Orleans Pelicans, the team has been very successful on the road. This can be seen in the four wins in the last five games!

However, Denver is a top team from the Western Conference. The Nuggets have been shorthanded all season due to long-term injuries, but they do have Nikola Jokic, the current and possibly renewed NBA MVP, on board.

In the battle between the Portland Trail Blazers vs. the Denver Nuggets, betting tips on a home victory or defeat of the home side with a maximum difference of eight points are interesting. In addition to the home side’s strong form, the fact that the visitors have to play a back-to-back and will therefore be more tired also speaks in favour of this prediction.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. New Orleans Pelicans – 28 February, 04:00 hrs

The last game on 28.02.2002 in the NBA takes place in LA, when the Lakers host the Pelicans. The home side will have to do without Anthony Davis once again this season. AD will be out for at least one more month, which means that the Lakers will be short of a direct ticket to the playoffs.

Currently, they only have enough for ninth place and that would be too little. The guests from the “Big Easy” are again eleventh in the West, but have at least tenth place in their sights, which would entitle them to a place in the play-in tournament.

With CJ McCollum, a powerful guard was also recently signed, who also made an immediate impact at NOLA. He has already scored at least 30 points in four of his six games with his new employer.

By comparison, in his entire previous season with Portland, he managed that output only twice in 35 games. McCollum and the Pels seem to be a match! For the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans, the odds on more than 24.5 points by McCollum are thus linked to value.
