First against last in the East!
There are five games going on in the NBA on the night from Sunday to Monday on 12/13/2021. A particularly uneven duel takes place in Detroit, when last meets first from Brooklyn in the East.
In Portland, they are hoping for Damian Lillard’s comeback in the game against the Timberwolves from Minnesota and the Lakers want to win two games in a row after a long time. An endeavour that should succeed, as a light weight from the East drops by in the form of Orlando, which is hard-pressed in terms of personnel.
Detroit Pistons vs. Brooklyn Nets – 13 December, 00:00 hrs
The bottom team in the Eastern Conference gets a visit from the first team in the table from Brooklyn. The Nets last prevailed in Atlanta and once again benefited from a very good performance by Kevin Durant. The “Slim Reaper” scored 31 points and continues to lead the scoring in the NBA.
For their part, the home side from the Central Division suffered a defeat at New Orleans last matchday. The defeat against the Pelicans was the eleventh in a row! In addition, their best scorer, small forward Jerami Grant, is now unavailable due to an injury sustained in the previous game.
For the duel of the Detroit Pistons against the Brooklyn Nets, bets on more than 18.5 points by the rookie Cade Cunningham are therefore recommended. The first pick of last year’s draft will now be challenged even more on the offensive end and has already been quite accurate lately. He exceeded the selected limit in five of his last six appearances.
The prediction is also supported by the fact that Detroit has only won two of its twelve home games, but on average the Pistons lose much less clearly on home turf than away. Thus, the average margin to their disadvantage at Little Caesars Arena is 7.33 points.
Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Dallas Mavericks – 13 December, 01:00 am
Oklahoma ranks second to last in the West only. Only the Pelicans from New Orleans are close behind OKC. Head coach Mark Daigneault’s team has an offensive problem. In the corresponding rating, the home side ranks last in the league.
However, Dallas is an opponent who has not been convincing in the forward play either. In four of the last five games, the Texans failed to score in triple figures! For the duel at the Paycom Center between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Dallas Mavericks, odds of less than 210.5 points are therefore offered.
San Antonio Spurs vs. New Orleans Pelicans – December 13, 01:00am
The Spurs are contesting a back-to-back as they still faced the Nuggets last night. The duel ended with a 112-127 defeat. The guests from New Orleans will therefore be a little more rested for the encounter at the AT&T Center.
In addition, although they are bottom of the table in the West, they were at least able to defeat the bottom team in the East, Detroit. Due to the longer regeneration of the men from the “Big Easy”, the forecast for the game of the San Antonio Spurs against the New Orleans Pelicans includes an away win or a defeat of the visitors with a maximum difference of four points.
Portland Trail Blazers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves – Dec 13, 03:00
Portland has been without their top player Damian Lillard lately. Without “Logo Lillard”, the quality of the hosts can of course be described as much less pronounced. To make matters worse, CJ McCollum, the Trail Blazers’ second-leading scorer, is now also missing.
Together, the two have scored an average of just under 42 points per game this season, which is why it quickly becomes clear that Portland’s offence will not be in good shape for the time being. The last four losses in a row prove this prognosis.
Although Norman Powell averaged 27.5 points in the last two games and was thus around ten points above his seasonal value of 17.4, he can of course only compensate for the absence of the two top scorers to a limited extent with his strong performances.
Admittedly, the visitors are not in good shape either, having lost five games in a row. Nevertheless, given the very tight personnel situation of the home side, betting tips on an away win in the Portland Trail Blazers game against the Minnesota Timberwolves are worth considering.
Los Angeles Lakers vs. Orlando Magic – Dec 13, 03:30am
The Californians remain a surprise package: for five games, victories and bankruptcies have alternated regularly. But coach Frank Vogel’s selection now has an easy task ahead of them in Orlando. The Magic are severely depleted and occupy second-to-last place in the Eastern Conference.
In addition, the hosts had an extra day off and are therefore more physically rested. For the game of the Los Angeles Lakers against Orlando Magic on 13.12.2021, today’s NBA tip aims for a home win with at least an eleven-point lead.
