Chasing duel in London; Derby in Manchester
The winner at the top of the table last week comes from London: The Blues completed their task at Newcastle with aplomb despite injury worries, while the worst rivals in the fight for the top of the table in the shape of the Reds and Citizens fluffed.
The champions now face a derby with United at Old Trafford and Liverpool don’t have it much easier as coach Jurgen Klopp’s side travel to fourth-placed West Ham. The Blues instead have another easy task ahead of them with in-form Burnley.
Norwich, bottom of the table, will also be looking for their eleventh win of the season against Brentford. For all Premier League matches on Matchday 11, tips and odds can be found below
Southampton vs. Aston Villa – 05 November, 21:00
The Saints prevailed 1-0 at the Hornets last weekend. The upward trend of the Hasenhüttl eleven has thus solidified: The South Coast side have not lost in three rounds of matches. At the same time, the only two victories of the season were recorded in this period.
In addition, Southampton can rely on the home bonus: Only one of their five home games ended in defeat (1-3-1). The visitors, on the other hand, arrive in a weak condition. The defeat against West Ham last Sunday was the fourth defeat in a row!
Furthermore, Ezri Konsa has to miss the match due to a red card. For the match at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League on matchday 11, tips on a home win (DNB) are therefore recommended.
ManUnited vs. ManCity – 06 November, 13:30
The Citizens conceded their second defeat of the season on the last matchday and a run of eight league games without a loss came to an end with a home loss to Crystal Palace. Coach Pep Guardiola’s men must now get back on track if they are to stay in touch with league leaders Chelsea.
However, the Red Devils have recently recorded a victory and ended their winless streak of four league games. The success should have given a new boost to United’s temporarily shaky self-confidence.
The visitors will also be without Aymeric Laporte in defence as the Spaniard has been sent off. For the Manchester derby in the Premier League on Matchday 11, predictions on a draw seem fruitful.
Crystal Palace v Wolverhampton – 06 November, 16:00
The Eagles last celebrated an impressive away win at the Etihad Stadium at Manchester City. Looking back over the last six years, this was only their second win against the champions, while eleven games have been lost in that span.
Thanks to the surprise win, the Londoners are unbeaten in five league games, although the previous four encounters all ended in draws. Wolves have also gone five rounds without defeat, but have won four of their five games. No team in the league has been more successful in this flashback!
For the clash at Selhurst Park in the Premier League on matchday 11, there is thus sufficient value to be found in the odds on an away win (DNB).
Brentford vs. Norwich – 06 November, 16:00
The Bees are slipping ever further towards the relegation zone: For three rounds of matches, they have only conceded defeats. However, the opposition has been predominantly strong with Chelsea and Leicester. The fact that even Burnley, the bottom of the table, lost recently is a cause for concern in London.
Furthermore, the promoted team cannot rely on a home bonus because only the first of five games on home soil ended with a win. Norwich, however, is the perfect rebuilding opponent.
The last-placed team in the table is still waiting for its first three points of the season and has not scored in five away games! Instead, the Canaries have let in no less than three goals conceded on average on footballing tours of duty. For the clash in London in the Premier League on matchday 11, betting tips on a home win are a good idea.
Chelsea vs Burnley – 06 November, 16:00
The Blues last won 3-0 at Newcastle and routinely completed their compulsory task at the still winless Magpies. With eight wins and only one defeat and one draw, the reigning title holders are very stable in the Champions League.
On top of that, only the Reds score more and no team in the British top flight concedes fewer goals. The Clarets also travel with a poor away record: They have yet to win any of their five away games this season.
In view of this, bets on a home win to nil are of interest for this Premier League match on matchday 11. This is supported by the strong home defence and Burnley’s two previous visits to the other two top teams in Liverpool and Manchester City, both of which ended in 2-0 defeats.
Brighton v Newcastle – Nov 06, 18:30
The Seagulls have been teasing Liverpool of late, coming back from 2-0 down to earn a respectable 2-2 draw at Anfield Road. Only two of the ten league games were lost and the footballers from the coast look back on a successful season so far.
However, the only two defeats came on home soil. Now, however, Newcastle are a grateful opponent. Apart from Norwich, the Magpies are the only team in the top flight of British football that still has to wait for their first win of the season. For the match at Brighton in the Premier League on matchday 11, odds on a home win are therefore associated with value.
Arsenal vs Watford – 07 November, 15:00
The Gunners keep crawling their way to the top of the table, not losing for seven rounds of matches and winning five of those games! Most recently, Leicester, one of the Premier League’s top teams, was defeated away from home. The Hornets, on the other hand, recently suffered defeat at the hands of Southampton.
The visitors can take heart from their last outing on the Mersey, a 5-2 win at Everton. On top of that, it was their second away win in their last three league outings.
However, given the home side’s stable form, betting on an Arsenal home win with at least a two-goal difference in the match in London on Matchday 11 is worth recommending.
Everton vs Tottenham – 07 November, 15:00
The Toffees have since squandered their very good start to the season: Their recent 2-1 loss to Wolverhampton represented their third straight defeat. Everton coach Rafael Benítez can no longer rely on a home bonus either: The last two games at Goodison Park against West Ham and Watford were lost, and in the case of the Hammers even crashed 5-2.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s absence is a major problem for the home side: Only two of the eight competitive games without the top striker in league play and EFL Cup were played victoriously and the majority were lost.
Spurs, for their part, have been equally unconvincing of late: the 3-0 defeat to Manchester United was their second in a row, following a previous one against West Ham. Due to the overall poor season so far, which also includes the poor performances in the Europa Conference League, the club’s management pulled the ripcord last Monday and suspended Espirito Santo after only 17 games as coach.
A successor was quickly found: Antonio Conte is now in charge. The main concern is the limping attack, which has failed to score in each of the last two league games. Harry Kane in particular is still lagging behind his form from last year. The top scorer of last season has only scored one goal so far.
For the match at Goodison Park in the Premier League on matchday 11, predictions of a draw in this clash between two stumbling teams are advisable.
Leeds United v Leicester – 07 November, 15:00
The kickers from the Steel City picked up a 2-1 away win in the crisis summit with bottom of the table Norwich last Sunday. At least the last non-relegation place could be defended. The Foxes, on the other hand, suffered an unnecessary defeat at home to Arsenal.
In the 0:2 defeat against the Gunners, Leicester were the better team, but the usually reliable attack around Jamie Vardy could not strike this time. The defeat ended a run of four unbeaten games for coach Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Away from home, the visitors’ games have also been very high-scoring so far: On average, 3.6 goals have been scored per match so far – only Liverpool’s away matches are higher league-wide.
For the clash in Leeds in the Premier League within the 11th matchday, predictions on more than 2.5 goals are therefore the first choice of the betting base.
The bet is backed up by the fact that none of Leicester’s away games have ended with less than three goals, while the majority of United’s home games at Elland Road have ended with more than three goals.
West Ham v Liverpool – 07 November, 17:30
The Hammers are in good form: In league action, the Londoners boast three straight wins and in between, Manchester City were knocked out of the EFL Cup. This was an almost historic achievement, as City had won the cup competition every time for the past four years!
In contrast, the Reds only managed a 2-2 draw against Brighton at Anfield Road last Saturday. Liverpool were already 2-0 up in that game, but after a supposed 3-0 was disallowed by VAR, LFC got off the mark.
In the upcoming encounter, however, the visitors can rely on their away strength: They have marked an average of just under four goals in their five away games so far! By comparison, Chelsea’s second most potent away attack has just about half that number of goals.
In light of this, betting on more than 2.5 goals in the matchday 11 clash in London in the Premier League seems lucrative. The prediction is supported by the capital’s parallel home games, which have been high-scoring to date: only one of the five home games did not see a result of more than two goals.
