Will the Jaguars win in London for the first time?
Will London finally bring the Jacksonville Jaguars and No. 1 pick Trevor Lawrence the luck they were hoping for? After all, the Jaguars are the franchise that can be considered the record winner of the International Games in London with three victories.
Both teams are also regular visitors to England’s capital. Jacksonville, for example, are already guests for the seventh time (3:3 record), Miami for the fifth time (1:3 record).
For the current quarterbacks of both teams, however, the foreign trip is uncharted territory. For the Jaguars, of course, that goes for rookie Lawrence in almost every situation, but Miami’s Jacoby Brissett doesn’t have a lot of experience under his belt either.
We’re looking at this game as a 50-50 match, leaning towards the Jaguars, because of the new and unusual conditions. If the Jags don’t win on Sunday, it will be a little longer before Trevor Lawrence gets his first NFL win. The Fins’ programme is not getting any easier.
In this respect, our prediction for Jaguars vs. Dolphins is also a tough fight in which the Jags could have the edge in the end. Since they are considered underdogs by the betting companies, this is also the bet with the significantly better value.
Kickoff of the second London Game of the season is at 3.30pm on Sunday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It can be watched live on ProSieben.
Jacksonville Jaguars – Statistics & Current Form
0:5 – that is Trevor Lawrence’s starting record in the NFL. That’s a bit disappointing for the man who was considered one of the best No. 1 picks of all time when the Jags picked him in the summer.
He hasn’t really arrived in the NFL yet, though, although that’s not all on him, of course. Still, the numbers speak against Lawrence: eight interceptions thrown, a completion percentage of just 59.4% and a passer rating of 71.3.
Lawrence has no rhythm yet
He’s in the bottom five in the NFL in all of those stats, in fact only No. 2 pick Zach Wilson is worse in interceptions. That speaks to the fact that he hasn’t really connected with his wide receivers yet.
Even if the Jags are missing an important receiver in DJ Chark for the long term, there are still enough pass receivers on the roster who are definitely of higher NFL calibre: Marvin Jones, Jamal Agnew or tight end Dan Arnold, for example.
Now Lawrence has to build up a rhythm with them as quickly as possible. The constant antics of their head coach Urban Meyer don’t exactly help, of course, we have to say in defence of the players.
Is Meyer damaging the franchise?
Especially for the many young players in the team it is anything but helpful when the head coach brings one questionable action or statement after the other. Keeping calm and building confidence certainly goes differently.
That’s why this London Games is probably even good for them now. They can start from scratch in a foreign environment and both teams have the same turmoil and stress before the game. For Jags vs. Dolphins, a tip on Jacksonville is therefore not the worst option.

Miami Dolphins – Statistics & Current form
The Dolphins come to London for the fifth time looking to finally get their second win – both in terms of London Games and this season. With 1:4 wins, their gap to the play-off places is already enormous.
Missing out on the post-season again would be a big disappointment. But from a betting perspective, there is no way around it this season. Because even if Tua Tagovailoa is able to contribute again at some point, even he is not the Fins’ panacea.
Brissett is banged up
Of course, it is extremely unfortunate that Jacoby Brissett, of all people, is also injured for the feasible game against the Jaguars and was only able to train lightly during the week. With Brissett not at 100%, Miami’s chances dwindle enormously.
Not that Brissett has been convincing enough to win games on his own, but behind him would be Reid Sinnett, a quarterback who hasn’t had a second on the NFL field.
Defense must fix it
This headline alone shows how bad things are for the Dolphins. Because if it’s the Fins defence that has to fix it, then things are already going wrong. After all, with 422.2 yards conceded and 30.8 points allowed per game, they rank third to last in both statistics.
Therefore, we do not expect them to be able to decide the game against Jacksonville now and thus see Miami at a disadvantage on Sunday. For Jaguars vs Dolphins, the odds on the Jags are thus much more attractive for betting – handicap or not.
Key Players:
QB: Jacoby Brissett
– RB: Myles Gaskin
– WR: DeVante Parker
– TE: Mike Gesicki
– K: Jason Sanders
Jacksonville Jaguars – Miami Dolphins Head-to-head comparison / H2H record
In the last five duels, the record is 3-2 in favour of Miami, however, this statistic does not have the greatest value, as both teams have changed a lot in recent years and Sunday’s match is also on neutral ground in London.
So we rather go with the statistics of the current season. Miami has the slightly better quarterback and the slightly better record, but all other stats (passing game, rushing game, defence…) speak for the Jaguars.
That’s why we can’t quite understand why the bookmakers see the Fins clearly ahead here. For us, however, this means a great chance for terrific odds. With Jacksonville vs. Miami, a bet on the Jags is therefore also our clear betting recommendation.
Jacksonville Jaguars – Miami Dolphins betting tips
There is clearly more to be said for Jacksonville on Sunday and yet they have the higher odds. This is a lucky day for all bettors as we have countless betting options. Handicap bets on the Jags are just as good as straight win bets.
In addition, an option that brings even more value would be a combination with sub-par scores, which are also always likely in London.
Alternatively, bets on sub-points only are also possible. In the last 13 London Games, the scheduled 47.0 points have been scored only three times. With both teams also stumbling offensively, we don’t expect to see a high scoring game.
