Belgium v France Tipp & Quoten, 07.10.2021 – 20:45 o’clock
For the national teams of Belgium and France, the summer was anything but satisfactory with the early end of the European Championship. While the Red Devils made it to the quarter-finals against Italy and failed to win the European championship (1-2), the reigning world champions finished after the quarter-finals.
Tricolore was defeated by Switzerland after a penalty shootout. But even the group phase with only one win and two draws was not worthy of a World Cup title winner. Now both national teams play in the Nations League semi-finals at the Allianz Stadium in Turin in a neutral position to enter the final.
Going by the Belgium – France odds, the French start slightly favoured in the Nations League semi-finals on neutral place. A tip on the world champions reward the online bookies with betting odds in the range around 2.45 and those who look at the Belgian team can score odds on average beyond the 3.00 mark. Whether the 3-way bets are recommended, this tip prognosis gives information at the end.

Roberto Martinez’s national team got off to a good start after the weak EURO and was able to win all three qualifying games for the World Cup last month. The final clash took place on 8 September in Belarus and was won by the goal of the day by Dennis Praet in the 33rd minute with 1-0. The Red Devils were forced to take the lead in Group E (16 points), but they also scored one more game than the Czech Republic’s group runner-up.
The Martinez team is still undefeated in the World Cup quali and will not be able to take the World Cup final round 2022. Only in the 1:1 in the Czech Republic there was no triple point win. The other five caps in the group were won. The three home games against Wales (3:1), Belarus (8:0) and the Czech Republic (3:0) were goals and victories.
The Nations League games last year were similarly successful. Against runner-up England there was the only defeat on the island (1:2). All other five duels were won – Denmark (2-0, 4-2), Iceland (5-1, 2-1) and the home game against the Three Lions (2-0). The offensive proved to be a showpiece for the Belgians in the preliminary round. No other national team was more dangerous in the NL with 16 goals.
Romelu Lukaku (FC Chelsea) is the most successful scorer in the Belgian jersey with five goals. Dries Mertens (SSC Naples) entered the scoring list three times. Twice Michy Batshuayi (Besiktas Istanbul) and Youri Tielemans (Leicester City) cheered over their stalls.
For the final Four in the Nations League, Nationalcoach Martinez appointed six Bundesliga legionnaires. The strongest faction is BVB with Axel Witsel, Thorgan Hazard and Thomas Meunier. The VFL Wolfsburg, which started the new season strong, will have two representatives, goalkeeper Koen Casteels and forward Dodi Lukebakio. In addition, Hertha’s Dedryck Boyata is also present.

Even after the disappointing European Championships, the two-time world champion did not really kick in and did not get past a draw in the World Cup quali against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Ukraine. At least the team of Didier Deschamps managed to win three points against Finland in the last international match in Lyon. Antoine Griezmann (25th, 53rd) won the 2-0 home win. The French are clear league leaders (12 points) with one more game ahead of Ukraine, who were only able to score 5 points.
The Deschamps team won three wins and three draws from six qualifying games. The scoring ended with a 1:1 in two home games against Ukraine and Bosnia-Herzegovina and in the second leg in Ukraine. There were all three without conceding – twice away in Kazakhstan (2:0) and Bosnia (1:0) as well as in their own stadium against Finland last.
The 2020 NL games were all victorious except for the zero number at home on matchday 3 against Portugal. In Portugal (1:0) as well as in Sweden (1:0) and Croatia (2:1), all the guest matches were won. The Croats and Swedes were forced to their knees by the Tricolore team in front of a domestic backdrop with 4:2 each.
The two-time world and European champion is the third best offensive series in the Nations League with 12 goals. Olivier Giroud (AC Milan) is the most successful goalscorer in the French national dress with three goals. Superstar Kylian Mbappe (Paris Saint Germain) and Antoine Griezmann from Spanish champion Atletico Madrid will each score two goals.
The French also provide some Bundesliga legions for the upcoming NL duel. With Dayot Upamecano, Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich as well as Moussa Diaby (Bayer Leverkusen) four in the number. Lucas’ brother, Theo Hernandez, from AC Milan, was also called up for the final Four. Olivier Giroud was again eliminated by Deschamps, as in the World Cup qualifying games. The Munich-based Kingsley Coman (heart surgery) as well as Steve Mandanda (Olympique Marseille) and N`Golo Kante (Chelsea London), who were not nominated, are also not included.

There is no favourite between Belgium and France. Both national teams have a lot of quality and can win this Nations League semi-final. Since the match will take place in a neutral position in Turin, nobody has an advantage, as for example in the first semi-final between Italy and Spain, which will take place in Milan.
The team Tricolore has only won three wins during the group phase, but is still undefeated. The Martinez team lost in England, but won again in the other five NL games.
Anything can happen in this international match. We are guessing on few goals in the Alliance stage and on a decision for Belgium in the penalty shootout. Accordingly, we recommend the tip on the Under 2.5 Goals betting. The sports betting tip wins if no more than two goals are scored in the game. The offered Belgium – France odds settle on average in the range around 1.60.
