Three times in a row, Heidenheim has now scored over fifty points in the 2nd Bundesliga and will certainly not be one of the relegation candidates for this season either. Frank Schmidt, who has been a coach at Heidenheim since 2007, will once again be the coach. There have been two promotions so far with Schmidt and also in the 2nd Bundesliga the team has been able to continuously improve. What about the new season? As far as the market value of the current team is concerned, Heidenheim can be found in the midfield of the league. Recent test matches have been good. SC Paderborn were only slightly worse than Heidenheim at the end of last season. In total, it was 47 points, making it ninth. Lukas Kwasniok took a seat on the coach’s bench in Heidenheim from the beginning of July. The 40-year-old had previously worked for 1. FC Saarbrücken as a coach, previously for Carl Zeiss Jena. With this he inherits Steffen Baumgart, who was coach of Paderborn for five seasons before and achieved promotion to the 2nd and 1st Bundesliga.
