The first day of the match was very clearly lost. Due to the bankruptcy, Grenada dropped right to the last place in the group D table. The residue to the top rider measures three counters. Since Panama and Qatar shared the points, the gap to the second place in the table is only one thin point. All odds indicate that Grenada is being treated as an outsider.

Coach Felix Sanchez seemed to have found the right words in the half-time speech. Only three minutes were played when Akram brought Afif Qatar to the front. The joy, however, was short-lived. Another three minutes later Rolando Blackburn scored 1-1. The World Cup host returned two minutes later with the 2-1 by Ali Almoez. Panama equalized again in the form of Rolando Blackburn only five minutes later. In the end, a transformed penalty led to a 3-3 score on both sides. Undoubtedly an exciting encounter that brought about a fair draw.
In the first group match Qatar was in the front three times, but had to settle for a draw in the end. This must be improved in any case. However, the online bookies have still not lost their faith in the World Cup host. Qatar continues to be a contender for the group victory, insofar as the odds are believed. However, Honduras should not be underestimated. The last matchday calls up the key game with the Hondurans. This should then be about the group victory.
As already mentioned at the beginning, Qatar does not actually play at the Gold Cup. In 2019, the team was represented at Copa America.
