Holland vs. Austria Tip & Quotes, 17.06.2021 – 21:00

On Thursday evening, 17.06.2021 at 9 pm, the national teams from Holland and Austria will play their second game at the European Championships at the Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam. The Elftal played heavily in the opening match against Ukraine, but almost lost the wages they had earned. The ÖFB-Elf was the better team against Northern Macedonia, but also had to stretch out to get the threesome. It was the first victory for Austria in a final round of the European Championships, which now lead Group C ahead of Holland, Ukraine and Northern Macedonia.

Orange dominated the first European Championship game against Ukraine for an hour and gained good opportunities for early leadership in the first minutes through Depay (2nd), Dumfries (5th) and Wijnaldum (7th). The Elftal combined smoothly and entertained the 15,837 spectators in Amsterdam – Weghorst missed the 1-0 (27th) in his first game at a big tournament. Just like teammates Wijnaldum and Dumfries (39th, 40th). After the break tea, the team of Bondscoach Frank de Boer rewarded themselves for the strong offensive game and went through Wijnaldum earned a 1-0 lead (52nd). Six minutes later the Wolfsburger Weghorst increased to 2-0 (58th). The mass seemed to be read, but from nowhere the Ukrainians struck back through a dream gate of Yarmolenko and it stood only 1:2 (75th). Less than five minutes later Yaremchuk headed 2-2 (49th) after a free kick flank. The Dutch were briefly shocked and headed the highly-deserved 3-2 victory goal by Dumfries (85th) five minutes before the end of the regular season.

The de Boer-Elf has been unbeaten for six consecutive international matches due to the opening victory at the EURO and lost only the first World Cup qualifying game in Turkey in 2021. Two victories were expected against Latvia and Gibraltar in the qualifying and friendly matches against Scotland (2:2) and Oranje remained unbeaten in the European Championship rehearsal against Georgia (3:0). The 3-2 victory against Ukraine was the first European Championship victory since 2008 for the Dutch.

Matthijs de Ligt of the Italian traditional club Juventus Turin suffers from a groin injury and is also likely to be out for the second group match against Austria.

Franco Foda’s national team started against Northern Macedonia with nine Bundesliga players. With the exception of Ulmer and Bachmann, they all play in the German league. The ÖFB-Elf started with a lot of possession and was always looking for VfB forward Kalajdzic with high balls in the lead. The EM newcomer acted courageously and made life difficult for Austria. Nevertheless, the favourite went earned by Lainer with 1:0 in front (18th). A few turns later, Kalajdzic slammed the leather right at goalkeeper Dimitrievski and quickly missed it (22.). The Northern Macedonians were then able to equalise a bit happily to 1-1 with Pandev and celebrated their first goal in the European Championships (28th). As a result, the outsider showed a lot of commitment and also had playfully good approaches to offer. In the second 45 minutes, the red-white-reds were nervous and made too many mistakes in the setup game. North Macedonia proved to be an unpleasant opponent until Coach Foda turned around in the offensive and replaced victory with Gregoritsch and Arnautovic. Nikolov first failed at Ösi-Schlussmann Bachmann (63rd), before on the opposite side Gregoritsch almost headed 2-1 for Austria (65th). In the last quarter of an hour Foda switched and promoted David Alaba to midfield. The ex-Bavarian player then prepared Gregoritsch’s 2-1 (78th). In the last moves of the game Arnautovic then scored 3-1 (89th).

After the weak general European Championship test against Slovakia (0:0), the Foda Elf won the first European Championship victory in the history of the association with 3:1 against Northern Macedonia. Similarly, the first friendly four days before the rehearsal against Slovakia could not be won against England (0:1). In the last qualifying match for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, there was even a 0-4 home debacle against Denmark. So the signs before the start in the European Championships were not really good.

Locks or injuries are not to be lamented by Austria and can tackle the second European Championship game against Holland in top position.

Holland is favourite against Austria on paper for victory on the second day of the European Championship group C. On the lawn in Amsterdam we see both national teams largely on an equal footing. The opening games were identical against the two outsiders of the group with late goals leading to victory. While the ÖFB team was able to celebrate the first ever European Championship victory in one EURO, the Elftal won another European Championship final for the first time since 2008. The winner of this game will be able to plan for the quarter-finals, as the best four group trips will also progress one lap further. We are predicting a close victory for the Netherlands with few goals in the Johan Cruijff ArenA.

Accordingly, two bets are conceivable for this EM Tip forecast – on the one hand the 3-way bets on Holland wins or the Under 2.5 goals bets. The latter bet wins if there are no more than two goals in the game. Depending on the selected bet, the odds offered will vary. Personally, however, we tend more towards winning bets on Holland.
