Cologne vs. Wolfsburg Tip & Quoten, 05.12.2020 – 15:30
On Saturday afternoon, 05.12.2020 at 3:30 pm, FC Köln will receive VFL Wolfsburg at the local Rhein-Energie-Stadion on the 10th match day of the Bundesliga. Last weekend, the cathedrals surprised Borussia Dortmund and pulled all three meters from the Signal Iduna Park. FC improved to 15th place in the table (six points). The Lower Saxons were able to win their goal-rich home game against Werder Bremen and climbed to fifth place with 17 points in the table.

Markus Gisdol’s team was lucky enough to survive in Dortmund. In the 4th minute Sancho hit the bar. On the other side Skhiri scored 1-0 (9th) for the FC. The BVB had more ball possession and dictated the event despite the backlog. There was a real chance to equalize until the break but only through Haaland (26th). In the second period of the game, the cathedral townspeople earned the lead and fought against it with passionate defensive work. The few chances were then also taken advantage of and so Skhiri increased with his double pack to 2-0 for Cologne (60th). The black and yellow were now better off than in the first 45 minutes and came through Haaland to score a 1-2 goal (74th). The vice champion ran up and gained two more big opportunities for equalization – Hummels (87th) and Haaland in the second leg (95th) failed. It stayed 2-1 for the goats.
The Gisdol-Elf celebrated the first victory of the season with a 2-1 victory at the BVB. Previously, there were eight consecutive Bundesliga games without a threesome (five bankruptcies, three draws). Four of the five home games in this season the FC lost and scored only on the 4th day of the match against Frankfurt at home (1:1). The last two home appearances against Bayern München and Union Berlin went 2-1 each to the opponent. Only Hertha BSC is worse in his own stadium. Together with the Alte Dame and Mainz 05, the Rhinelanders represent the most shaky home defensive (11 goals conceded). With only ten goals in the season, only two clubs scored even less than Cologne.
Jorge Mere, Sebastian Andersson, Florian Kainz and Jonas Hector will be out of ACTION this weekend due to injury.

The wolves and the Bremen had a wild swap last week. With the first successful offensive, the Green-Whites took the lead through Bittencourt (13th). The home team then took advantage of the Bremen’s passivity and struck back with a double strike by R. Baku and Brooks (22nd, 25th) – 2:1 VFL. But the guests came back and equalized after a corner to 2-2 through Möhwald (35th). Two minutes later Weghorst got the Lower Saxony back on track with his goal (37th) – 3:2 Wolfsburg. After the break tea, the first hit went back to the Werderaner account. This time an own gate had to be here (47th, Brooks). As a result, both teams had two opportunities, which sometimes didn’t end up in goal. Brekalo (55th) and Arnold (56th) took the lead again for Oliver Glasner’s team. On the opposite side Rashica (59th) and Bittencourt (64th) missed. In the final phase Wolfsburg then made the threesome perfect – Weghorst headed it 4:3 (76th). The Bremen saw the yellow-red card (80th) in the person of goalscorer Möhwald. With one more man, the Wolfsburgs then scored the 5-3 by Bialek (95th) in the second period.
The Glasner-Elf celebrated its third consecutive victory and remains unbeaten this season. The wolves have won four of the last five games. Away, however, there was only a full success. The last guest appearance on Schalke was won by the Lower Saxons 2-0. Prior to that there were only points divided against Hertha BSC (1:1), Mönchengladbach (1:1) and SC Freiburg (1:1). The VFL provides the best guest defense with three goals on foreign lawns. After RB Leipzig (six goals conceded), the Wolfsburgs have the best defensive in the upper house (eight goals conceded).
Daniel Ginczek and Josuha Guilavogui are injured and will not be present in the Rhineland.

VFL Wolfsburg is FC Köln’s favourite on the three points. The Lower Saxons are still undefeated this season and travel to the cathedral city with three victories in a row. With the unexpected away victory at Borussia Dortmund, FC has regained confidence and now wants to secure the first home victory after the first victory of the season. The Glasner-Elf took three of the four victories of the season at home and has so far only been able to win on Schalke, just like almost any other club. It won’t be an easy game for both teams. We are predicting a narrow victory for the Lower Saxons with goals on both sides. Accordingly, in this Bundesliga tip forecast, we also tend to win the 3-way bets on Wolfsburg, where betting odds are on average around 2.00.
